Stolen from [livejournal.com profile] queeniefox: Name your Top 20 List Of Lust, in no particular order.Your neighbor or grade school teacher doesn't count. The list can be male, female or mixed. They can be real life celebrities or characters in a movie or TV show. For example, you might want to gag Mariska Hargitay, while still lusting after Butchy McFabulous Olivia Benson.

Katharine Hepburn

1. This one shouldn't come as a surprise to anybody. I am so completely in love with everything about Kate that it would be impossible for me not to have her at the top of this list.

Rudolph Valentino

2. He is one of those people who just exudes sexuality. I don't think any photo can do proper justice to the raw physical presence that he had. Beyond the Rocks is finally screening in Tampa next week, and I am so excited about going! It will be the best birthday present ever.

Dr. James Wilson

3. Wilson is just a walking contradiction. He's cute and squishy and adorable, and yet he's also a serial womanizer and professional panty peeler. I guess that's what makes him sexy, the fact that he's seemingly boring and innocuous, but has a slightly darker and unpredictable side. Plus, his relationship with House is the greatest thing ever. House is the only person I would let steal Wilson.

Douglas Fairbanks, Jr.

4. He's dashing, charming, and funny. For me, Douglas is one of the few people who actually fits into that stereotypical image of the Movie Star, even if he doesn't always get the recognition that he deserves.

Rupert of Hentzau

5. This is a branch off of number 4. I was just going to make it all one, but even after I decided to give Douglas his own number I still felt like giving proper recognition to the role that made me first love him. Although I've never read The Prisoner of Zenda, I've seen the 1922 and 1937 film versions and in both of them Rupert was the highlight of the movie. Sure, he's a devil-may-care opportunists who would just a soon kill you as kiss you, but remember that this is a Lust List, not a Men I Would Like To Father My Children And Care For Me In My Old Age List.

Emmy Rossum

6. The truth is finally revealed! The real reason I watched The Phantom of the Opera an embarrassingly large number of times? I have the biggest girlcrush on Emmy Rossum. Well, okay, I do just like the movie itself, but that was a big part of it. She is also one of the few people who seems just as glamorous in real life as she is on screen.

William Powell

7. For reasons unknown even to me, I am obsessed with William Powell and will watch pretty much any movie that he is in. The older he gets, the more attractive I find him. That scene in The Thin Man Goes Home where Nora finds him out back in the hammock wearing his old high school sweater that clearly does not cut the dashing figure that it once did is still somehow incredibly sexy to me. Yeah. I don't understand it either, but there it is.

Commodore Norrington

8. Obsess over Jack and Will all you want, because this guy is the only one for me. Maybe it's the uniform, maybe it's the obsessive sense of duty, or maybe it's the painfully awkward (albeit sweet) way he makes his suit to Elizabeth; more than likely it's a combination of all three.

Peter O'Toole

9. Okay, I couldn't help stealing this one from [livejournal.com profile] queeniefox. He is one of the few men I would describe as being truly beautiful. Those blue eyes...! Yum.

Sherif Ali ibn el Kharish

10. I don't know if I should bother explaining this one; he seems to be quite a popular choice!

Georges Guetary

11. I debated putting the character Henri Baurel because that is the only role I have ever seen Georges Guetary in, but I think my lust goes beyond the character. A lot of it probably has to do with his voice (I am actually listening to An American in Paris right now, ha). But, seriously, just watch the "Stairway to Paradise" scene in that movie and you will totally know what I am talking about.

Horatio Hornblower

12. I seriously agonized over this one. I'm sure that at some point in time I have lusted after every single character in Horatio Hornblower, some more in the movies and some more in the books. How could I possibly do justice to them all? That would be pretty much impossible, so Horatio is just going to have to stand in for my general love of all things Hornblower. Of course, he is quite lovely all by himself, so I don't feel too bad putting just him on this list.

Lex Luthor

13. I've never watched Smallville regularly, and I almost never watch it at all any more, but I love Lex so much that I just had to include him. He's hot; he's rich; he's ten times cooler than anybody else on the show and he totally knows it. Lex is another one of those characters who simply oozes sex appeal. All he has to do is walk on screen and I am in heaven.

Sayid Jarrah

14. "My name is Sayid Jarrah, and I am a torturer." I know I cannot be the only one who got all hot and bothered by that. I'll never understand Sayid/Shannon, but other than that I love his character. I can't say that he is my favourite character, because LOST is quite overrun with fantastic characters, but he is certainly the most lust-worthy one.

Leslie Howard

15. Leslie Howard isn't one of those people that immediately springs to mind when I think of sexy actors, and yet there is something undeniably attractive about him. A big part of it is probably my years-long obsession with Gone with the Wind, but having seen him in other roles I think it is something that extends beyond the character of Ashley.

Scarlett O'Hara

16. Speaking of Gone with the Wind -- the person who should be on everybody's lust list! How is it possible to not love Scarlett? I've tried to make many of my friends watch GWTW, and they all remark afterward how much they dislike Scarlett's character. I do not understand that all; she makes the movie. And even then, if you don't like her character you still have to admit that she has got plenty of sex appeal. Why else would that red dress be so famous?

Hugh Laurie

17. This is another one where I wasn't sure whether to put the character or the actor; I certainly never found Hugh Laurie sexy before House, but then again I don't think House would be nearly as awesome if Hugh didn't play him. Also, I've always had a strange attraction to Bertie Wooster (do. not. judge me!! *hides in embarrassment*). So. Hugh Laurie it is. And again with the lovely blue eyes!

Napoleon Bonaparte

18. Haha, maybe I should have saved the "do not judge me" remark for this one. Seriously, though, Napoleon is really hot. I actually found somebody in my history class who agrees with me. I think the problem is just that most people have the old, pudgy, balding, hand-in-shirt image of Napoleon firmly implanted in their minds and they overlook the fact that he was quite a fox when he was younger. A lot of his attraction also stems from the fact that, omg, he's Napoleon! See, this is what I love about living two hundred years after the Napoleonic wars -- it's okay for me to like both Napoleon and the British Royal Navy.

Laurence Olivier

19. Oh, honestly. Could you imagine him not being on my list? I didn't think so.

Indiana Jones

20. I'm sorry, Han Solo, but Indiana Jones is by far the sexiest Harrison Ford character. I would be one of the girls with "I LOVE YOU" written on my eyelids. I think I find archaeologynerd!Indy to be even more attractive than actionhero!Indy. And that fedora? Totally sexy.

Wow, I spent an inordinate amount of time compiling my list. I wanted it to be as comprehensive as possible (also, it's easy to lose track of time while sorting through mounds of pictures of incredibly gorgeous people).
