Regarding tonight's Lost... mostly filler, yeah? UGH JUST BE NEXT WEEK ALREADY! I swear they've been using the same promo clips for the last three weeks; let's get to the juicy stuff and stop being such an effing tease (oh, right, this is Lost I'm talking about :P).

That said, though, there were some things to comment on: spoilers for 5.05 This Place is Death )

Mostly, though, in the realm of TVness, I wanted to comment on Farscape! This past week I finally hit a stride in catching up with the show, and I'm a bit over halfway through the first season (I just watched "Rhapsody in Blue" and "The Flax" this morning). SWEET NIBLETS I AM SO IN LOVE WITH THIS SHOW AND ITS MUPPETY GOODNESS. Zhaan has reawakened my secret desire to be a badass monk; D'Argo simply oozes epic emo manpain; Rygel is actually annoying as hell omggggg, my love of all things on this show has not yet extended to his obnoxious presence, but we'll seen if that changes; JOHN AND AERYN SDLKJF;ASDFJ;LASDFJ;ASF;JASDF PLEASE TELL ME THE SUBSEQUENT SEASONS CONSIST OF NOTHING BUT THE TWO OF THEM MAKING OUT AND BEING GORGEOUS AND CONSTANTLY RIBBING EACH OTHER AND JUST IN GENERAL ROCKING MY WORLD. (Actually, in all seriousness, please do not tell me, because I'm striving to stay unspoiled as much as possible.) Anyway, it's been a while since I had new scifi to flail over (probably not since my EPIC SGA ASSIMILATION last spring), so... FLAAAAAAIL!!

Actually, I have some addition flail-of-nostalgia to do before wrapping up. I spent the weekend fiiiiinally sitting down and watching Buffy with one of my friends who loves the movie but has never seen the show (!! I KNOW! I didn't know such a creature existed). And. HOLY CRAP. HAVE I MENTIONED THAT THIS IS MY FAVOURITE SHOW EVER? 'CAUSE IT IS TOTALLY MY FAVOURITE SHOW EVER. Even recognizing that there are many things I ended up not liking about the show, that there are many cracktastically awful episodes ("I Robot, You Jane" OH GOD WHHHY) -- no television program could ever possibly mean as much to me as this show did, if only because it came at such a tremendously formative period of my life. Honestly, it is impossible to understate the impact of Buffy on my life today (and I wouldn't have it any other way)! Gosh, the Scoobies are all so wee and endearing (and yet probably still older then in high school than I am now in college, hee! Oh, TV casting, how I loves ya). Unpopular fandom opinion ahoy, but mannnn ANGEL. Hello again, love of my prepubescent life! He is so cheesy and occasionally creepy-stalker-y (ahaha, we were laughing at all of the callbacks that Twilight seems to make to this show. Seriously, just rewatch "The Pack" and try not to see the Cullens; one of them even looks like Alice!) and holy excessive wife beaters, Batman! but I love him SO DARN MUCH. Buffy/Angel angst, boy oh boy. Those were the good old days. Mostly, though -- GIIIIIIILES!!!!!!!!!!! He's the biggest reason for the rewatch, actually; Repo! was the hot new thing in our circle for about a week and I was all, yeah, ANTHONY STEWART HEAD HOW ARE YOU FANTASTIC??? -- time to bust out the Buffy DVDs and relive the awesome! Needless to say, he does not disappoint and, if anything, seems to improve upon viewing. Maybe it's just in combination with Repo and Merlin and other recent ASH-as-super-hot-dad, but I seemed extra-fixated on all of the budding protective fatherly impulses that Giles has. THEY ARE EVERYWHERE. AND THEY ARE FANTASTIC. I can already tell that I'm probably going to be a total mess once we reach "Helpless," waaaaahhhh! Anyway, we left off at "School Hard" (SPIKESPIKESPIIIIIKE) but are going to pick up again this weekend. I am so so so excited to rewatch the rest of season two, as it is my all-time favourite season of any television show in the history of ever. Lamely, though, I only have the first three seasons... the high school years are obviously my favourites, which is why they're the ones I own, but I am way hankering to rewatch, um, everything.
