Nov. 7th, 2004 02:36 pmLast night was homecoming, but I didn't go. I thought I would feel bad about missing it, but actually I don't regret it that much. I didn't know anybody who was going, so I don't think I would have had a good time. Instead I sat at home and watched the second half of "Lawrence of Arabia" (I watched the first part Friday night). I would dedicate a whole post to how much I utterly adore that film, but I think I would have a hard time putting that adoration into words. After I finished watching it I decided to go back and watch my favourite parts, and I ended up watching most of the film over again. Call me a giant loser, but I enjoyed myself quite a bit more than I would have if I went to the dance.
Oh, and I decided that I want to be Ali for Halloween next year because his costume is really cool and we do actually have a lot in common. For example:
-We both think T. E. Lawrence (or at least Peter O'Toole's Lawrence) is really hot.
-We both have hair that is difficult to manage at the best of times.
-We both dislike people sharing in our drinks without our permission.
See? It's a match made in heaven. Plus, I don't think I'll have to worry about somebody having the same costume as me.
On a non-LoA note, while I was at the library I also rented another Sharpe, "Sharpe's Enemy." However, after forty minutes of being slightly confused and missing a lot of references to past adventures, I realized that I skipped ahead too far and that I still need to watch "Sharpe's Company." I hate watching a series out of order, so I don't know if I'm going to finish watching "Enemy." I should be able to finish it without being too confused, though, and I am about halfway through already, so then again I might go ahead and watch the rest of it anyway. Hm... decisions, decisions! I'll finish my English project and then see if I have enough time to finish "Enemy."
