Jan. 31st, 2005 03:22 pmSo... tired... of school.... Today was less than fun. In third period, our teacher decided to do that experiment where you fill a container with vinegar and then attach a balloon filled with baking soda to the top of it. He did it at the sink in the front of the room, about five feet from where I sit. I was afraid it was going to explode and get all over me, but it stopoped inflating before it got to the popping point. However, some disappointed kid in our class who wanted to see the balloon go boom decided to walk up and pop it. Thanks a lot, kid! I got little white flaky bits on my jacket and in my hair on on my test and all over my book. Ick.
I'm proud of myself. I made a resolution to not watch PotO until this weekend, and so far I have stuck to it. I almost broke down yesterday, but I didn't. I've asked a bunch of people to go with me on Saturday, in hopes that having shared plans will keep me from changing my mind and going earlier this week. Apparently the fact that I am a giant geek about this movie has traveled. Today my friend Christie was telling me about how she was talking about the movie with one of her friends, and she mentioned my name. Then her friend said something along the lines of, "I don't know who that is, but I've heard that she's seen it like three times!" Um. Oddness. And slight embarrassed-ness. Now I have extra motivation for trying to wait until this weekend; I don't want to be known as that weird chick who watches "The Phantom of the Opera" a lot.
