I was lured into watching "The Fall of the Roman Empire" by the promise of Omar Sharif, but after two hours and only two lines from him I got bored and decided my time would be better wasted online. If I am still craving some Sharif later on this weekend, I'll probably just pop in LoA because I have been meaning to watch that for a while now anyway.

My dad and brother are out on a Boy Scout camping trip, which means I get to spend lots of exciting quality time with my mother this weekend. Woo. Today we are going shopping for new bedsheets, and tomorrow we are going to a college fair in Tampa. If that doesn't spell fun, I don't know what does.

My birthday is rapidly approaching, but I haven't really decided what I want to do for it. I have decided that I am having a party, and that it will be on the 25th, but so far that is all that I have. It feels like I still have a lot of time left to plan, but really I only have this weekend and next weekend.

I have another thing that I need to work on during that time. For English, we have to do a cultural heritage project (don't ask me how that is related to anything we are doing in class, because I honestly don't know). I have no idea where to start. On my dad's side of the family, I can choose from Irish, Scottish, or German, and from my mom it is pretty much between Venezuelan or Dutch. My mom has this hilarious home video of her and her brothers at Carnival when they were about four or five, and she is dressed up as a little Dutch girl, complete with blonde yarn pigtails. I told her that I wanted to make a costume like that and wear it to school, but she told me that she would only help me make it if I wore it all day long. In that case, it is back to the drawing board...
