According to my sister, homecoming this year is next month. Wow. Last year it was mid-October and I thought that was really early. I don't know why they keep bumping it up, but, whatever... Anyway, they're jumping on the bandwagon and changing twin day to pirate day. So maybe I can finally achieve my dream of having a Commodore Norrington costume. I am thinking a few alterations and this pattern would work nicely. I know he isn't exactly a pirate, but if anybody asks I can tell them, "I intend to see to it that any man who sails under a pirate flag or wears a pirate brand gets what he deserves: a short drop and a sudden stop." Of course that would seal my fate as class loser, but it'd be fun. Or I suppose I could always do an Elizabeth Swann costume. The character was slightly annoying, but pretty dresses! Me like. And if none of that made any sense I blame it on the fact that it's about 5:45 in the morning.

That's so awfully lucky! My stupid school would never make a pirate day, they just don't understand the true magic of dressing up, saying 'Savvy.', and telling people to stop blowing holes in ships. They'd much rather have a 'pyjama' day of some sorts.

Oh, and that's a brilliant pattern for Norrington! It'll be an absolutely brilliant costume! Yarr.

Dressing up is one of the most fun things in the entire world. Usually spirit week is pretty lame, though... I'm trying to think what we did at our school last year... We had celebrity day, crazy hair day, 80s day, tacky twin day, and then just a spirit day. The only one I really dressed up for was 80s day, though. And kind of spirit day, but I just wore a blue shirt and half of my clothes are blue anyway. I am however enthused about pirate day. Yee! I'll have to go ask my sister what the rest of them are.
