What could be better than my sister coming home early to say hello? My sister coming home early to say hello WITH COOKIES! Yes, they are quite delicious. Today was a pretty tiresome day, but nothing out of the ordinary. I finished reading "Little Women" this afternoon and I shed the obligatory tears and I am still upset at the ending. However, I am kind of glad that I went back and reread it, because I like Jo and Laurie even more now than I used to ::hugs for cool literary characters:: (But I still think they should have ended up together... Silly Amy...) Speaking of literary characters, we did this personality test in psychology yesterday. Afterwards we got into groups according to our results and we were supposed to discuss our likes, dislikes, hopes, dreams, etc. etc. and see how similar they were. When we got to likes the first thing that I suggested was literature, and everybody looked at me like I was a crazy person. I never really considered myself a bookworm, but I have noticed that I am more than ever highly dependent on books as my main source of amusement. While I really don't have that many books in my private collection (a grand total of about thirty), I have read them all so many times that they mean a lot more to me than might seem sensible. It takes a lot for me to admit a new book onto that hallowed shelf, but the ones that work their way up there are very dear to me ::more hugs for books and all the things their musty pages inspire::

Yeah, I was in the third or fourth grade when I first read it and I was ALL about Jo and Laurie... The thought of Laurie and Amy made me want to cry, and while I do very much like Mr. Bhaer I still prefer Laurie over him. I used to read it all the time, but then I started only reading up until Laurie's proposal, and eventually I couldn't bring myself to read it at all. This year I was like, "Okay, it's been a couple of years since the last time I read it, maybe I've grown as a person and it all makes sense now!" Yeah, so much for that idea. Jo/Laurie all the way! ::three cheers for relationships that actually make sense::
