May. 2nd, 2004 12:10 pmNickie and I went to see "The Boyfriend" yesterday at BHS. It was... Well... I should have gone and watched "The Secret Window" again, but whatever. Rita did a great job as random-background-person-with-a-dog ::loves:: Other than that... The singing was okay, but the acting wasn't too great. The sets were good. The sound was bad. I think they just told people to use their outside voices and left it at that. I know that their auditorium is really small, but still... I was sitting maybe halfway up and I had a hard time hearing a lot of it.
The biggest reason why I didn't get up and ask for my money back was Kimber. She was fantastic. For any of you on my FL who are going to see her tomorrow, be sure to tell her that she rocks.
Now I feel bad for not going to the play at my school. Everybody was too busy to take me, and, yeah, the whole not-licensed-to-drive thing didn't help much. Speaking of driving, I drove home from church today. It wasn't too scary, either! I go to church out in the boonies so it is possible to take back roads and encounter little or no traffic. I kept drifting into the shoulder, though. I didn't know that you weren't allowed to drive without shoes, either (however, considering the shoes I wore to church, taking them off was probably much safer).

Date: 2004-05-02 09:53 am (UTC)And was that "Your Matt" with you? Because if so, hey! I know that kid! It was bugging me because I was trying to figure out where I had seen him before, but then I remembered that he went to my church a couple of times. Many years ago. And I don't think I ever talked to him. So, okay, I don't actually know him. But I do know who he is...

Date: 2004-05-02 10:24 am (UTC)Who told you that? Tell them that they're wrong. Granted, there might be a local ordinance, but I kinda doubt it. Driving without shoes is a lot of fun, at least for short distances. And if the alternative is awkward or hard to control footwear, it's a good idea, too.
(I love driving barefoot =D )
