May. 25th, 2004 12:28 pmSay what you will about "Van Helsing," but if you are a David fan you must go see it now. He is of course the real reason why that movie is worth watching. I mean, come on! Who else could deliver a line like, "If there's one thing I've learned, it's never to be the first to stick your hand in a viscous solution!"? Or, "I can curse all I want. Damn it." Even without Carl, parts of the movie are actually entertaining. Superfluous and cumbersome as they may be, the costumes are actually pretty nifty. I also liked the filming locations. I recently finished reading "Dracula," and I was surprised to find that many of the sets and locations more or less matched the mental image I had of them.
Silly movie-ness aside... Or, never mind, more silly movie-ness! I am trying to get my hands on a copy of RotK, but have been pretty unsuccessful. I only have about five dollars to my name, so it is unlikely that I'll be able to buy one myself. I asked my dad, but all he did was give me a copy of the swim team schedule. Sometimes, I swear...! I haven't asked my mom yet, but chances are she's going to go off about driving or volunteering or clearing the beach. Wah. I might have to settle for renting some movies for now, because I still need to use that coupon and it expires on Thursday.
