20 random facts meme. Stolen from just about everybody.
1. I have a love/hate relationship with my hair.
2. Although I am fascinated by the age of sail and by ships in general, actually being in a boat in open water scares the hell out of me.
3. Ditto airplanes: I think they're cool in theory, but don't even try to get me to fly in one.
4. I don't like knees. I almost never wear anything that shows my knees, and if I do it is only around the house. I don't really like seeing other people's knees, either. It's not that I think there is anything obscene about knees; I just find them to be awkward.
5. I love fandom. A lot. As much as people whine and moan about it, my life wouldn't be half as much fun if it didn't exist.
6. I am totally crushing on Katharine Hepburn. She's starting to clutter my TiVo, though.
7. I have a rare and incurable disease. It's also a really boring one that will probably have no lasting affect on my quality of life, but that's just a fun sentence to whip out at people every once in a while.
8. Quite often I feel that I'm living in the wrong time period. However, then I remember that if I lived earlier I wouldn't have the internet, so for the most part I am happy where I am.
9. I guess this goes along with my last fact, but I am obsessed with fashion history. There are so many movies that I have enjoyed primarily for the costumes. I wanted to be a costume designer for the longest time (and I still kind of do, a little).
10. Okay, I'm just obsessed with fashion in general. This would probably surprise most of the people I know, because I don't think that my own personal clothing choices reflect this. That's really only because I lack the time and the money to spend on making all of my fashion dreams a reality. I think fashion is an under appreciated, often misunderstood art form.
11. I quite honestly think that I spend more time reading than I do talking to other people.
12. My list of guilty pleasures is ridiculously long. There are so many embarrassing things that I really love. In fact, I'm probably too embarrassed to even list them here.
13. Although I am a Christian, I mostly think it's just important to have faith in something.
14. I enjoy going to church, even though I don't always agree with everything that they teach there.
15. I firmly believe that everything happens for a reason.
16. Why, yes, I do like Locke. Why do you ask?
17. I have no idea what I am going to do with myself once I graduate from high school.
18. I'm one of the few people I know who is not eager to move out of the house and go to college. For all that people complain about having to live with their parents, I think it's a pretty sweet deal. I get food, a bedroom, a car, internet, television, and I don't even have to pay for it. I would be lying if I said that I always got along with my family, but even when they are being obnoxious I know they are doing it because it is what they think is right.
19. I actually like Stacy. Where was she on this week's "House, M.D."?
20. I have really good timing. For example, I am finishing this just as my brother is coming home. I know he will want to use the computer as soon as I am done with it.

Date: 2005-09-23 07:20 pm (UTC)It's good to know that! Even though fashion is a big part of today's society, it seems so stigmitized. If you're into fashion, then you're automatically shallow and image is the only thing you care about. The idea of liking clothes just because they're clothes doesn't always make a lot of sense to some people, but it's nice to know that it makes sense to some of them.
