Friday Five
Aug. 1st, 2003 08:44 am1. What time do you wake up on weekday mornings?
It varies... Usually over the summer I'm asleep until anywhere between seven and nine, but I don't really get up until nine. Over the school year I'm up at five every morning ::grumbles:: Right now I'm at an in between stage where I'm trying to get used to waking up early but I still don't want to (this mostly means waking up very early but then lying in bed or reading until around eight-ish).
2. Do you sleep in on the weekends? How late?
I sleep later on weekends, but I don't know if I'd really consider it sleeping in. During the summer it's basically the same all week long, and while I'm in school I get up between six and seven (usually before seven, because I like to watch "Coming Attractions" and "Behind the Scenes").
3. Aside from waking up, what is the first thing you do in the morning?
Whine about having to go to school. Or about the temperature in the house. Or about how little I have to wear. Or, if nobody else is awake to hear me whine, I usually go make myself a cup of tea and read the paper.
4. How long does it take to get ready for your day?
It really only takes me about fifteen to twenty minutes to get dressed, get together whatever I need for what I'm doing that day (mostly school) and lose the completely slagged look I have when I wake up, but it takes me almost a full hour before I'm aware of my surroundings and can form cohesive sentences.
5. When possible, what is your favorite place to go for breakfast?
Meh. Breakfast equals evel. I am fond of a cup of tea in the morning, but the only solid food I'll even attempt to conquer is toast (and on occasion grits).
