(no subject)

Today was my first day driving as a licensed driver. It's nice, I guess. I get to boss everybody around (not really, but I could if I wanted to) and choose what we listen to (today, "Beauty and the Beast" and "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" soundtracks). Nickie and I also went to Lakeland today, but I let her drive. All I wanted to do was buy a pair of shoes, but she wanted to do some actual shopping so we walked around the mall for a million years (re: about three hours). It took me about two minutes to buy the shoes I wanted (I had spotted them a few weeks ago and decided to get them if I couldn't find anything else). They're just black sandals and they only cost ten dollars so I paid in cash and have yet to use my credit card. I went into Hot Topic to show Nickie the Jack-Sparrow-looks-like-Prince shirt (seriously. It's the most amusing shirt ever and worth braving the scariness that is Hot Topic). I was surprised to see that they had Duran Duran shirts. Since when?!

Yesterday I finally finished watching the writer/director commentary on FotR. I also finished reading "Pyramids" and started on "Guards! Guards!" I was going to save "Guards! Guards!" for the plane, but I still have "Captain Blood" to read so I suppose I can take that with me instead.
