Yeah, so, my last entry was full of lies lies lies because I caved and finished up all of SGA and bwaaaaah what am I to do until new episodes start again?? Oh, yes, that's right -- spoilers! Although I've at least had enough restraint to stay away from specific plot-related stuff, I couldn't help looking over some casting spoilers. And!

Top picture on this post at Joe Mallozzi's blog? I was having a bit of a flail over yaaaaaay Paul McGillion and then did a double take at the actress because whoa suddenly she was looking hella familiar, too. Coincidence, perhaps, that I just started watching season seven of DS9 this morning? Because eeeee it's Nicole de Boer on SGA!! The thing is I remember finding Ezri quite annoying when I first watched a smattering of DS9 episodes way back in the day as my first exposure to the show, but going back now and doing it properly from the beginning, she is seriously the cutest thing ever. And, okay, might get annoying later so I'm not going to discount the possibility that my earlier impressions were accurate, but right now I'm mostly just really really excited. :D :D Plus I have a weird affection for Trek/SGA crossovers (evidenced by my earlier glee over Colm Meaney, no doubt). And ohhhh I just remembered, Robert Picardo is joining as a regular cast member, isn't he? Wow, way to scavenge the Trekverse there, haha. Not that I'm complaining...

...And now that I'm all done (all! done! *sobbbb*) I will attempt to go back and post properly about the episodes, but I find myself wishing that I'd taken better notes or something at the start because pretty much all I have are a few scribbled, "Heee! Best quote ever!" and "Awww adorable team-y scene!" for a lot of them. Also, I'm moving into my summer apartment tomorrow/starting classes on Monday, so it looks like I'll have to go back into Real Life Boring Stuff mode for a while. :/

Yes, yaaay, Paul McGillion is back!! *cheers* This redeems the screenwriters somewhat in my eyes....

The Trek crossovers are indeed awesome. And to be honest, I am so bad with names in TV shows and everything, that I always forget the name of Picardo's character in SGA and always just call him "The Doctor." Similarly with Colm Meaney. XD

I'm sort of torn about Carson coming back... I mean, on the one hand, WTF why kill him in the first place?? And I really don't like the new doctor as much as I wanted to. But on the other, I'm also not a fan of killing off a character just to say -- just kidding! And now they're back again. So. Hm. I guess it depends on how they play out that arc, but for now I guess I'm mostly just excited about him being on the show for a few episodes. :D

And more Trek crossovers! I'm guessing that this is a really obvious one because he's actually a Trek series regular, haha, but I've never watched Enterprise before so I plead ignorance for not knowing sooner! But anyway! So I was channel surfing last night during the commercial breaks of House, and SciFi was having a mini-marathon of Enterprise episodes, and, hey, Connor Trinneer (actor who plays Michael on SGA) is, like, a lead actor on that show. How did I never know that??? He has a cute southern accent and everything (although it sounds quite Texan to me, so I thought that maybe the fact that their fabricated backstory for "Michael" being from Texas was a nod to that, but apparently on Memory Alpha it has his character being from Florida and I've lived here for ten years and can't say that I've met any natives with that accent but who knows what might happen 150 years from now?).
