I might be slightly MIA for the next few days because I just had my wisdom teeth out this morning, and... ow. And, well, it's not even that bad, but the times that it doesn't hurt are probably even worse for me to be online because that means I'm probably strung out on painkillers and shouldn't be allowed anywhere near a keyboard (I was trying to write one of my friends from school and had to literally retype every other word because the letters just wouldn't travel properly from my brain to my fingertips. Thank God for Firefox's automatic spellcheck for saving me from many a faux pas.

Recent TV catch-up:

Psych 3.04 - I didn't like it quite as much as I thought I would, if only because there wasn't a single explicit Goonies reference! Ah! I thought at least with the dropped pennies everywhere, we'd get some sort of, "Yeah? Well this was my wish, and it didn't come true. I'm takin' it back!" But whatever, it was still a lot of fun. Loved the intro: "Okay, Henry's right, it isn't real gold -- BUT IT IS REAL CHOCOLATE! YEEEAHHHH!!!"

Mad Men 2.03 - No Pete. Woe is me. But but lots of extra Sal so I consider myself contented. Next week looks fun: "My mom has bigs ones, too!" Oh, out of the mouths of babes...

The Middleman 1.09 - Ah, see, wasn't I just complaining about the missing James Bond feel in 1.07? Obviously they were saving it up for this week. And, oh, Tyler is cute. And he cooks! KEEPER.

SG-1 first half of S1...ish - I think I've managed to overcome the part of my brain that still misses James Spader's Daniel Jackson, and instead embrace Shanks as a floppy haired geek alternative. A lot of the writing is... well, wow, kind of bad, and makes me appreciate SGA more (who thought I'd ever say THAT), but again I'm easy prey for any sort of building team dynamic, so yay for that. Also, Dr. Fraiser = awesome. The show also breaks one of my Rules for All Good Dramas -- namely, don't introduce cutesy kids every other week -- but ohhh they're so cute. (Yes, I did just watch "Singularity" yesterday, how could you tell?) Finally, actor crossover! I squeed right and proper at Armin Shimerman's name in the opening credits of "The Nox," only to probably injure a few vital body parts in laughing so hard once he made his appearance.

Ferengi make-up, I can live with, maybe even fall in love with (which reminds me, I keep meaning to do an Aliens I Love post. ...After I finish my girl!crushspam. And redhead spam). Stowing house plants in your hair... not so much. XD

Heeee, indeed it is! XD I was commenting to [livejournal.com profile] dollsome about this, how Snyder was sort of the snot-nosed villain of my childhood and then I got hooked on Star Trek: DS9 and Quaaaark! He's the best (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LfHAyFA_QSI).
