- SHOW. STOP HAVING SUCH AWESOME GUEST STARS. Use 'em sparsely, stockpile some for later, yeah? Also... Chevy Chase and Scott Bakula went to high school together?? Haaaaa sure.
- That said -- evil Chevy Chase is perrrrrfect. Oh, God, everything about the RI lifestyle played so cleverly. I freely admit to ribbing all of my iLife friends, and I think this episode really captured the absurdity of it all (giant lanky Zach trying to navigate the exercise balls during the interview reminded me of why I love this show and its judicious use of slapstick).
- CASEY. YOU ARE SO FRIGGING CUUUUUUTE. Undercover nerds with Sarah? YES. I APPROVE. TWO THUMBS UP. Any time Casey gets a cover other than waiter/bartender I am filled with glee.
- TEAM OT3!! "Remember when I told you not to trust your handlers? ...Maybe I was wrong." EEE EEEEEE EEEEEEEEE *hugs them all*
- But. Chuck. !! You tranq'ed Casey! OMG! That scene was brilliant hilarity, and I am all smiley that Casey didn't actually follow through on his "WORLD OF PAIN" threat. Just. Bweeeeee I love them all so much.
- Ellie/Awesome continue to be adorable. Oh man I have been feeling so bad for Ellie lately... normally all we get is how all this spy business ruins Chuck's life, but it's really sad to see it seep over to Ellie as well. They all deserve to be happy!
- The Jeff/Lester phonecall to Morgan about Chuck's infidelity. Tehehe yet again.
- I'm still not sure how I feel about Chuck's dad... on the one hand, the show is once again playing into this childish wish-fulfillment scenario where, of course, Chuck's dad abandoned him not because he was a deadbeat loser but because he has a genius superbrain. Obviously! It's more than a little eye-roll-y and, were I in Chuck's position, I think I'd probably be a lot more pissed off. On the other, though, I think they're conveying the weirdness of that reunion really well with Ellie... but then of course all of her scenes lately have been really heartbreaking... sigh. I don't know. I JUST WANT EVERYBODY TO BE HAPPY. In case I haven't said that already.
