I know I've said this a thousand times, but this time I really, really mean it... show. Oh, show. I have no idea what to do with the insane amounts of combined love and hate I have for this show. (Yes, that does mean that I spent a shamefully large percentage of my evening bawling over Robin Hood. Thankfully I keep my desk equipped with a box of tissues for that very purpose.) I think I've exhausted my RH-related wordsplurge for the day, but, oh, how many many new things I have to rant and rave over.

ALSO. I can't believe I managed to leave this out of my last post!: [livejournal.com profile] heathra's gorgeous and heartbreaking and oddly quite therapeutic Guy/Marian vid that mixes their best scenes together with some clips from the new series as well as voice-overs from the new audiobook (which I still have not yet managed to listen to, despite the thrilling combination of SEXY RARMITAGE VOICE and BEST PLOT DEVICE THAT I LONGED FOR DURING THE ENTIRE HIATUS, OH IF ONLY IT HAD BEEN AN ACTUAL EPISODE) -- so, yes, it's spoilery for the beginning of series three, but, oh, even if you dropped off watching the show, if you are any sort of Guy/Marian fan you really need to watch it.

*cries* *forever* *DAMMIT!!*

That video. That video. It just about broke me. I may have re-watched it about twenty times since it was first posted.

You really, really have to listen to Witchfinders! It's like crack for the Guy/Marian addled, and Armitage lays the angsty deliciousness on with a trowel. I mean, I actually got teary-eyed on the train to work, damn him.

I think I might finally cave and buy the audiobook. I've been avoiding it mostly because... self... do you really need to be wasting money on yet more soul-destroying fictional exploits? Really? Of course I've determined the answer to that question is a resounding 'yes', so I might as well just get it over with already. Just listening to the preview clips/reading RA's comments about it has thoroughly convinced me that it will be absolutely brilliant and heartwrenching -- ever since the S2 finale I was adamant that they should do an episode a la Buffy's "Amends," so I'm glad they pulled this together.

Also, sorry for the commentspam, and sorry if you've already seen this one, but as long as we're on the topic of weepy Guy/Marian vids... Nothing can trump "Always For You" in terms of Vids That Destroy my Heart:

(Of course the biggest reason for my anguish is that it was posted immediately after 2.11 when I was still on an oh my lovely gorgeous ship!! high, and now watching it in light of the finale... I... AUGGGH.)

Oh my god, why did you DO that to me!

*wails*

(The Guy/Marian playlist on my ipod is increasing by the day.)

THAT VIDEO MADE ME CRY. And then yesterday's episode made me brain explode. OH GOD.

I still have to get around to buying/listening to the audiobook. I DON'T KNOW IF MY HEART CAN TAKE IT.

I KNOW. Just... I know. For all the angsting I do every time the show denies us satisfying plot resolution, when it does finally get around to actually addressing character arcs and healing past traumas? My brain doesn't even know how to process this (other than, y'know, owwww my heart owwwwww).

So, yeah, ditto the audiobook. So far I've only listened to the previews on RAOnline and that was enough to send me into emotional breakdown territory.

(I struggle to remember a time when I could actually respond rationally to this show. Ha! I doubt it ever existed.)
