snowystingrayOkay, I know that pretty much none of you are Chuck geeks and in general I am flailing into a void, but OMG OMG NEW CHUCK. JKLSDFJLAFSJ;AFSDJ;ADFS;ADFS;A FIIIIIINALLLLLLLLLLLLYYYYYYYYYY. And yes so many of my issues are still there -- back-and-forth-and-back-again-and-forth-again-and-forth-and-back Sarah/Chuck (seriously. TWO EPISODES. Only two! And I think there were at least half a dozen flip-flops in their relationship), the dumping of Anna (I mean yes I get that there were larger production reasons for this, BUT STILL I AM NOT PLEASED), the gentle scent of "reset" in the air... BUT I JUST CAN'T HELP BEING EXCITED.
I MEAN.
CASEY CASEY CASEY CASEY. AND SARAH/CASEY. OMG. THEY ARE SO A REALITY, NOBODY IS TALKING ME OUT OF IT. Those six months in between? When Colonel Casey could have been building up a new mod squad of Marines? And Sarah could have been jetsetting anywhere in the world on high class adventures? They stayed put, together! They had adorable cryptic phonecalls! They actually engaged in personal conversations and were emotionally honest with one another! BEST. PARTNERS. EVER. In fact I think there just needs to be a spin-off miniseries that covers those six months together because I'm sure they were filled with sexy sexy brilliance. PLEASE TELL ME SOMEBODY IS WRITING THIS RIGHT NOW.
ANYWAY.
And also Sarah/Carina! Oh sweet chemistry, those two are so delightful together; okay, so they still don't quite pass the Bechdel test (CHUCK WHY DO YOU HAVE TO RUIN EVERYTHING) but let's just imagine an AU where they run off to Saint-Tropez together, okay? And maybe they can bring Casey along for good measure (BY THE WAY, CONTINUITY HINTS OF CARINA/CASEY, YES YES YES. UNCLE JOHNNY! LOVED IT!).
...Okay, I feel like I am being very unfair to Chuck himself. He doesn't ruin everything, really! I just get so excited about everybody else on the show. But oh, Chuck Chuck Chuck... I feel you, man. Lying on the couch in your sweats, eating junk food and watching your life waste before your eyes... hey, wait, isn't that how I spent my weekend? And he tries so hard and is just so scrappy and adorable, d'awww. Also, I know I say this all the time, but god bless Zachary Levi and his intense lanky noodly-ness. The man is a master of physical comedy. I remain in awe.

ETA: Oh, and also -- I've been working back up on my Lost rewatch, and got through "Enter 77" today. A bunch of them are episodes I haven't actually watched over since they first aired, so it's like WHOOOAAAA, "Stranger in a Strange Land" really is still as lame as I remember it! and WHOOOAAA, "Enter 77" is such a massive boon of Kate/Sayid, I don't know how I managed to forget that!
