Mar. 10th, 2004 08:43 pmI have been suffering from a complete and utter lack of (enjoyable) things to do with my life. I do, however, still have some birthday money left over, so somebody needs to help me decide how to spend it to best amuse myself. I have pretty much decided that I want some new books, but I don't really know what to buy.
The Books I Have Bought Recently:
-The Knight of Maison-Rouge; I really enjoyed this one most of the way through and, although I think the end was fitting, I am still undecided as to whether I like it or not. Overall, it was the sort of thing that would appeal to me, though ::love to Lorin::
-Princess in the Spotlight; I just started on this one today, and although I have to hide what I am reading from everybody I do like it so far. Three cheers for people who watch BtVS.
-Princess in Love; haven't started on this one yet
-The Light Fantastic; the only other Discworld book I have read is "The Colour of Magic." Although I don't remember everything that happened in it (bad me, I read it for the first time only like six months ago or something), I do remember that I liked it.
Books I Have Been Considering Buying:
-The Three Musketeers; I do really want a copy of this, but it is so hard to find a nice one. They all have some pervy looking fop on there that would frighten me half to death if he were staring up at me from my shelf... ::shudders::
-Gone With The Wind; Same deal as above. I want a copy, but the ones that they have are the overdramatized corny romance novel looking covers that middle aged women read on the subway. So. Yeah.
-At Swim, Two Boys; I've had a ton of recommendations for this book, but I still haven't read it yet. I have been meaning to... This is probably one that I will end up buying...
Anyway, if any of you guys have any suggestions for books to read, I would greatly appreciate them. Unless of course you suggest "The da Vinci Code," in which case I will have to cry.
EDIT: Bugger. I have to go to the dentist tomorrow ::hates life::
